Custom typography, LP Design
Singer, songwriter and visionary Yazan commissioned me to create an album cover for his 10" LP Howlin'. The brief called for custom typography reminiscent of 19th century American wood type with a nod to 21st century Psychedelia. He also requested the final artwork be printed in black & white. Seeking inspiration I pulled a number of vintage type specimens. To add a hint of color the vinyl was cast in ruderalis green.
